Our manufacturing facilities are led by expert technicians who know their workers personally - and assign them responsibilities which suit them best. As done by the company’s inception, the Galanti family is personaslly involved with the employees and the supervision of the manufacturing process.
Our skilled craftsmen specialize in woodcutting, carving, painting and assembling, et al. Since the early times of the Galanti accordion factory, much of the hand-crafting process has remained unchanged. Keeping these processes means retaining the quality of another era: who would question the quality of an old German camera, or a 50s American Cadillac? Well, rest assured that – just as any 50s Galanti accordion remains to this day very sturdy and fully-functioning - all other Viscount products will also last for decades to come. Nonetheless, many things have changed: wood design, plastic and metal parts are now made with machines and computers; difficult or dangerous jobs are done by machines; workers now operate in total safety, according to strict European standards and laws; the use of chemicals and materials (glues, paints, lead) has been restricted to preserve health and the environment. That's in a few words what we try to do: adapt to fast-changing times of today, while holding on to what's good from the past.
In the following movie, we compare modern crafting techniques for the production of digital organs, with the ones available in the 50s when the Galant factories produced accordions.
Another important step in the process is the assembly of the electric parts and quality control. Every product we ship has been thoroughly tested by a specialized technician. Every speaker has been tested in a special anechoic chamber, every knob, button and key of every organ has been pushed, pulled and struck before it is approved. To guarantee the highest quality for every piece is a difficult job - but thus far we have managed to achieve it. At the same time, we are consistently try to improve further.
